Telehealth

Efficacy of Telehealth Treatment

While we miss seeing our clients in person, the research shows no significant difference* in treatment outcomes between in-person or remote counseling. There are a lot of advantages to using tele-health including easier access to services, comfort of choosing your own environment for your therapy hour, reduced travel time and convenience. While we will resume in person therapy sessions at the end of the pandemic we believe that therapy via tele-health is far superior to going without treatment, especially while our communities are being impacted by the outbreak. We anticipate continual use of tele-health past the outbreak for clients who have difficulty accessing our office because of medical or location issues.

Insurance Coverage for Telehealth Counseling

We are in network with Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, Select Health, Educators Mutual Insurance and Public Employees Health Plan (Utah). At this time they have approved coverage for tele-health counseling services. We will continue to review the status of their approval for this service during and after the pandemic.

Technical Questions for Telehealth Counseling

We use a service called Simple Practice to bill, schedule, maintain records, collect client payments and provide tele-health. If you’d like to know more about their system and how it works from a patient perspective click here.
