Effective January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act, which Congress passed as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, is designed to protect patients from surprise bills for emergency services at out-of-network facilities or for out-of-network providers at in-network facilities, holding them liable only for in-network cost-sharing amounts. The No Surprises Act also enables uninsured patients to receive a good faith estimate of the cost of care. Review this (document) for an explanation of your rights and protections under this Act.
Rates: Currently we charge $150.00 per session for individual therapy. We are in-network with the University of Utah HMHI Behavioral Health Network. This is the behavioral health insurance provided to most University of Utah Employees. We are out of network with all other insurance plans. Our billing platform automatically sends a super-bill to clients wishing to submit their claims to their insurance company for potential reimbursement. We are not contracted with any insurance companies (outside of UofU HMHI) and therefor cannot determine whether or not they will reimburse claims for our services.
Payment: We accept HSA, FSA, debit and credit cards. Full payment is due at the time of service.
Many of our clients have found it useful to utilize their Health Savings Account (HSA), benefits card or cafeteria plan for counseling expenses.
