“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” – Maya Angelou
Life is filled with seasons, transitions, and changes. While these are essential for growth, they often bring with them stress, anxiety, and depression. I use a person-centered approach – integrating nutrition, movement, and mindfulness – to help my clients achieve sustainable change. We’ll partner together to explore your personal history and address beliefs and patterns that could be the cause of your stress.
I achieved my bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Utah and went on to complete their Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counseling program (ASUDC). Since then I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and group settings. Some of these include a residential day treatment program, an integrated medical clinic, and as an individual counselor for women of all ages. In addition, I served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate on behalf of abused and neglected children in the state of Utah. I am currently supervised by Ashley Sutherland, LCSW.
I like to spend my free time with my family and friends traveling, hiking, and spending time in nature. Reading and learning are important parts of my daily routine.
I am currently accepting new clients both in person and via Telehealth appointments.
Insurance Note: I accept Select Health (except community care) and PEHP Insurance, I am out of network for all other plans.
